Being most socially and economically delicate part og the population, youth suffers from drug addiction most of all. The consequences of drug abuse are stringer for teenagers and youth compared to adult population. Drug addiction started in the childhood and youth does great harm to physical and mental human health, his ability to produce new social members and prevents from his full-value, social adaptation.
A survey was organized to allocate basic needs of youth satisfied by drug abuse. Profound interview was used as a method of collection of initial information.
This kind of interview is flexible.
Conclusions. If to create capacities for young men to satisfy their social needs by socially approved means, substantial improvement of drug situation as a whole can be achieved.
It is necessary to work a unified strategy of actions of various ministries and departments, social organizations, researchers and experts. This strategy is directed to creation of most favorable conditions for recreation of people in work collectives, educational institutions, at place of residence and rest.
Nevertheless such an interest has not acquired the feature of stable, integral system of behavior yet. Nowadays it is required to preserve and recover best traditions of Soviet sports movement and keep on searching for new effective sports-recreational and sports technologies aimed at introduction of all strata of population into active occupations of physical culture and sport.
