Key words: coordinating abilities, basic coordinating preparedness, special coordinating preparedness, test program, criteria of estimation of coordinating abilities.

The purpose of the present paper was to work evaluation criteria of specific coordinating abilities in BMX on the stage of initial sports training.

The research tasks included allocation of most essential types of coordinating abilities for BMX racers and work of the test program of specific coordinating abilities in BMX-race on the initial stage of sports training.

The study was carried out using such methods as analysis and generalization of guidance literature, questionnaire of active trainers, pedagogical observations, videoanalysis, control test. The study was conducted based on the faculty of theoretical and applied physical-mathematical disciplines of Siberian state university of physical culture and sport and Omsk specialized children's sport school of Olympic reserve № 30. 43 athletes in the age of 10-11 going in for BMX-race on the initial sports training stage took part in the research.

The worked technique can be used in the educational-training process to estimate the level of development of specific coordinating abilities of athletes engaged in BMX-race on the initial stage of sports training. The test results can be applied to correct the training process: it is necessary to pay attention to coordinating abilities, showing low indices (either group or individual), and use an accentuated effect on development of these abilities to improve athletes' technical mastership.
