The purpose of the present paper was to work a method of typology of human motor development as an essential condition of objectivization of selection of adequate contents of physical education. Proceeding from the Soviet psychological-pedagogical science the contents of education is a determining factor in the integral process of human development.
 
The authors supposed that if based on the certain classification to set the basic (elementary human features, to allocate among the basic features the key ones, determine the structure (set) of connections of these features between it and other features, to check the contents of every complex of features based on objective criteria and establish stability of its manifestations, then the sets received can be characterized as types of human motor development.
 
The hypothesis was proved in compliance with methodological statements on the unity of internal and external stimuli of ontogenesis.
 
The statements and the worked method of typologization of human motor development were checked in a long-term pedagogical experiment with different categories of pupils including preschool institutions, comprehensive schools and universities.
 
The carried out classification of results of motor preparedness is directed to allocation of human individual characteristics necessary for effective realization of a certain type of sports activity. The applied method of grouping (systematization) of allocated individual characteristics based on the view of the level and direction of the correlation between them resulted in establishment of four typical variations of human motor development. The revealed types of motor development can be used in orientation and selection of people for occupations of certain type of physical activity, for development of variation of educative programs of physical development of children, teenagers, youth, real individualization and differentiation of human physical development.
