Nowadays educational institutions lack due extracurricular work on organization of school sport, that does not take into account new forms of sports measures, does not satisfy pupils' sports needs , fails to promote necessary level of physical development, physical preparedness, recreation and sports education of schoolchildren. In case of correct organization of sports work it can become serious and effective mean of not only formation of social work and healthy way of life of schoolchildren, but also an increase of social prestige of comprehensive school.
 
The purpose of the present research was to determine effectiveness of the organizational and pedagogical models of development of school sport on the social prestige of school.
 
Organization of the research. The worked model was realized based on the comprehensive school № 15of Solikamsk. 5-7-formers took part in the research. Schoolchildren of secondary school №14 were in the control group with traditional approach to organization and conducting sports activity.
 
The concept of creation of sports club laid the basis for development of the model of development of school sport. Success of using the created technique is mainly determined by the consequence of realization of its components such as essential, methodical and resultative-evaluative.
 
The studies resulted in the conclusion that the use of the worked model of development of school sport based on sports club promoted growth of social prestige, reflected in the quality and effectiveness of sport work at comprehensive institution, introduction of schoolchildren of the experimental group to sports activity resulting in development of the ability to show result.
