Theoretical training is one of essential factors of students’ readiness for fitness activity. Knowledge formation was proved not only to ensure competency but develops human value orientations. So a well-informed person can be called a motivated person, which fully concerns students from the low fitness group. In view of the given situation, special attention was paid to organization of the theoretical training within physical education in the course of the experiment made with technical university students intended for development of their readiness for fitness activity.

The purpose of the study was to develop theoretical and methodological support of the process of formation of readiness of students with health disorders for individual fitness activity.

As follows from the analysis of the results of the study, most of the studied health characteristics in the experimental group for the tested period exceeded significantly in the distribution dynamics compared to the students of the control group. Positive and significant changes of the components of readiness for fitness activity of students of the experimental group compared to the ones of the control group for the tested period can be characterized as an optimizing factor of the system of physical education. It was promoted based on the organizational substantive support of the experimental system of physical education, implemented in the present study. The increased level of readiness of the tested students for fitness activity contributed to achievement of higher results in solution of the tasks of their health improvement.
