The modern educational system in the sphere of physical culture and sport is characterized by search of innovative approaches to arrangement of school physical education.
The purpose of the present research was to work an evaluation scale of physical fitness of pupils, correlated with the health forming, nature conformable and culturological orientations of sports-focused physical education, focusing the process of physical training of schoolchildren on achievement of the optimal level of exercise performance and acting as a key condition of formation of interest and motives in pupils to sports activity itself.
The suggested approach of integrated evaluation of physical fitness in view of predisposition to development and manifestation of motor properties of pupils of various sexes and age promotes solution of the following tasks: observation of the individual dynamics of pupil's fitness indices within studies in an educational institution; comparison of fitness indices of pupils of various sexes and age; study of physical fitness of different pupil bodies and tracing of the correlation of dynamics of pedagogically focused effects and the dynamics of response to it in fitness indices with further necessary decision making; individualization of the requirements to pupils' physical fitness and expansion of the creative search for new ways of development of physical education; finding an absolute winner (in class, school, region, area) in overall physical fitness.
