The purpose of the research was to allocate most effective means of development of coordinating abilities in junior schoolchildren on the lessons of physical culture with gymnastics orientation.
 
Children liked the lessons with the use of exercises with gymnastics elements, proving that it is an effective method of physical education that can be used for effective development and improvement of the basic motor qualities and correction of functional postural disorders. Moreover, children used more creativity and tooke part in school competitions more often.
 
Proceeding from the studies, the use of gymnastics exercises for prevention of postural disorders and platypodia had a positive result: children have less postural disorders, have their self-control skill and the skill of keeping the right pose developed while sitting or walking.
 
The classes with the use of gymnastics means were marked to facilitate formation in children of the firm interest in the lessons of physical culture and sport.
