Special physical training of athletes with intellectual disabilities

Objective of the study was to develop and test, under the conditions of an inclusive training process, a methodology for special physical training of 14-15 year old athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Methods and structure of the study. The basic organization for scientific work was the "Athletics Olympic Reserve Sports School" in Abakan, which implements an inclusive training process. The sample of subjects consisted of 11 athletes-athletes aged 14-15 with intellectual disabilities, with three to four years of sports training experience and a qualification level of II category. The technique is aimed at developing the physical abilities necessary for qualified middle-distance runners. When implementing the means of directed influence, it was taken into account that athletes with intellectual disabilities in high-speed directions have a significant lag behind healthy athletes of the same age, the reason for this is the characteristic inhibition in the production of movement frequency.
Results and conclusions. The results of the analysis revealed positive changes in the special physical training of middle-distance runners in both studied groups, however, the most significant increase occurred in the experimental group with the reliability of differences between ascertaining and control indicators p<0.05, which made it possible to determine the effectiveness of choosing an arsenal of means, aimed at the motor sphere of the subjects.
