The purpose of the present paper was to consider the problems of training Olympic reserve in Russia.

Trainer is obviously a central person in achievement world-class results by Russian athletes.

Unfortunately, the quality of expert training in higher institutions of the country is far from modern demands. Therefore it is necessary to improve the system of extended education of trainers working in the filed of training the country Olympic reserve. Such a work should be based on acquaintance and approval in practice of unified base programs of training of Olympic reserve and recommendations on biomedical and psychological support of training process.

In the authors' opinion, the use of computer technics should become an acute aspect of advanced training of Russian trainers to control the training process.

However before starting the realization of such a program a set of programs is to be worked necessary for estimation of the level of development of physical qualities, athletes' current state, planning of training loads based on evaluation of the level of physical qualities and current state, forecasting of sports achievements in near-term and remote prospect etc.

In conclusion it is necessary to plan a system of material stimulation of trainers' work. The essence of the system is to be material stimulation of all experts related to training (from initial level) of champions and prize-winners of big competitions.
