Proceeding from the realities of the present socioeconomic situation health-saving and health developing functions of education are to be a strong humanitarian- pedagogical method facilitating preservation and strengthening of children's health.
 
In the last decade there is tracked a trend for growth of diseases of children's population of the country. Deterioration of children's psychophysical health is contributed by the following factors: unfavorable ecological environment, irrational organization of educative-training process in preschool institutions, insufficient organization of children's nutrition, growth of nervous tension due to socioeconomic complicacies, limiting of the ability to organize tempering of children's body, incompetence of teachers and parents in the matters of tempering of preschool children.
 
Tempering plays an acute role in fitness improvement, health strengthening and prevention of cold related diseases.
 
The purpose of the present research was to reveal the level of knowledge and skills of parents and teachers in the system of tempering in a preschool institution and in a family.
 
The questionnaire resulted in the conclusion that the overwhelming majority of teachers and parents understands the necessity of using special tempering procedures in preschool institutions with preference of integrated combination of various types of tempering; insufficient level of specialized knowledge and skills of teachers and parents in health-improving tempering along with the lack of corresponding conditions is a serious deterrent of using integrated methods of tempering in preschool institutions and in a family.
 
Perspectives of further developments. Conditions of increase of the tempering level of preschool children will be revealed in the experiment.
