The purpose of the present research was to study cardiorespiratory system of female basketballers from different age groups on certain stages of training process.

The analysis of results of spirometric studies promoted allocation of increase of static and dynamic volumes and lung capacities of female basketball players of relatively untrained persons. It testifies to development of functional and reserve abilities of respiratory apparatus in female athletes, decrease of the level of tension of regulatory mechanisms to maintain homeostasis, lack of the phenomenon of cumulative fatigue influenced by training and competitive loads.

The established heart rate fall along with increase of breathing capacity testified to development of adaptation of respiratory system to physical loads, resulting in increase of body aerobic performance, endurance and perspectiveness of athlete on a sports field.

Increase of the lumen of different divisions of respiratory tracts in 13-14-year-old female basketballers compared to senior female athletes established by means of pneumotachometry facilitates increase of oxygen entering the junior testees' body.

Adaptation of cardiovascular system to physical loads in 15-16-year-old and 19-30-year-old female athletes was proved to be more expressed compared to junior basketball-players and is characterized by the increase of single performance, power and effectiveness of heart work.
