The study considers the sport chronicles and accomplishments of the VII Student Physical Education Olympiad hosted by Rostov-on-Don-based Southern Federal University. The event was designed to encourage the university students’ interest in the research and education service in the national physical culture and sports sector and provide an impetus to the networking cooperation of the Russian federal and foreign universities to facilitate joint creative projects and intellectual exchanges. The event offered round-table discussions with participation of the competing teams and managers that resulted in a few cooperation agreements geared to advance the network education programs, academic mobility and joint research, education, practical and consulting projects to further develop professional competences in the university educators and students.
