The study was designed to analyse promising formats of the physical culture, sporting and health activity in the Yakut (Sakha) Republic. Subject to the study was the adult population of the Yakut (Sakha) Republic. A sociological questioning survey was applied to obtain gender- and age-specific data of the trainees and find their favourite physical practices and habitual motor workloads. The study data and analyses showed that most of the popular physical culture, sporting and health clubs and associations operating in the Republic are still in need of a formal government registration and legal statutory documents. Many municipalities reported the acute need for professional specialists to design and manage the physical culture movements plus the need in the relevant informational, advocacy and consulting services to the mature and senior population groups in the Republic. The sport and health system in the Yakut (Sakha) Republic will be designed with due regard to the climatic, geographic and weather conditions of this Far Northern region to satisfy the need in modern sport infrastructure and to ensure broad masses of the local populations being involved in a systemic and habitual physical training process.
