Effect of resort-health tourism industry on country economy

Tourism is one of the few constantly developing types of Russian business and plays an essential role as a source of currency supply and development of international contacts. Tourism industry has an essential material-technical basis, secures employment of many people and correlates with all branches of the economic complex and constantly increases international tourism.
Unfortunately, in Russia tourism is still not taken as a rightful industry and is a rare subject of research.
Considerable quantitative and qualitative changes in the demand for tourist services have taken place in the last decades.
The distinctive feature of the Russian health resort system is in its fundamental scientific basis, whereas foreign health resorts have of more "free" approach to organization of health recreation.
