Objective of the study was to identify trends in the publication activity of the results of scientific research in the focus of the «Trainer» section of the journal «Teoriya i praktika fizicheskoy kultury».
Methods and structure of the study.  A content analysis of the section's publications for 2024 was conducted and their main thematic focus was determined. The total number of publications analyzed was 58, and the number of authors for the period under study was 199, which is more than three authors per article.
Results and conclusions. In the process of the conducted content analysis the number of publications on individual sports was determined, the thematic focus of the articles was revealed, the geography of the research was presented. Most of the publications touch upon the issues of training qualified swimmers, track and field athletes, basketball players, and judoists. The largest number of works are devoted to the consideration of issues of developing motor skills and physical training of athletes, improving the technique of movements and motor actions of athletes. There are few publications related to injuries and their prevention, as well as psychoregulation in the process of training athletes. The analysis of the obtained data made it possible to identify the features of publication activity in the «Trainer» section of the «Teoriya i praktika fizicheskoy kultury» journal.
