Objective of the study: To outline the pedagogical conditions and technology for developing the professional flexibility of a future specialist in the field of adaptive physical education.

Methods and structure of the study: The effectiveness of the technology for developing professional flexibility in future specialists in the field of adaptive physical education is determined by the implementation of several pedagogical conditions: the implementation of a specially developed program for developing professional flexibility in the educational process of training specialists in adaptive physical education; the introduction of active forms and methods of teaching and education into the educational process: trainings, brainstorming, foresight, analysis of specific situations, case studies, etc.; continuous monitoring of the development of professional flexibility; taking into account the individual characteristics of students in determining the paths of professional self-development. In order to confirm the theoretical conclusions, an empirical study was conducted with the participation of 42 students in the bachelor's degree program 49.03.02 Physical Education for People with Disabilities (Adaptive Physical Education) of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education «Yelets State University named after I.A. Bunin».

Results and conclusions: The implementation of a practice-oriented program based on specific pedagogical conditions within the framework of the study using active teaching methods allows both, in general, to improve the quality of training of these specialists and specifically to make them more competitive in future professional activities in the context of a rapidly changing world, where the requirements for specialists are constantly being transformed.
