Objective of the study: To determine the information content of the indicators of stage-by-stage complex control for predicting performance in ski sprint (using the results of the 2023-2024 Russian Cup as an example).

Methods and structure of the study: The research work used the analysis of scientific research; pedagogical testing; medical and biological methods, methods of mathematical statistics: Python 3.10 programming language in the Google Colab environment; regression analysis; least squares method; standard Microsoft Office Excel program package.

Results and conclusions: It was revealed that the results of the stage-by-stage complex control are informative for predicting the performance of female skiers in the winter season. A regression model of the rating points of athletes in sprint races of the winter season was developed. It was determined that the time to overcome the fourth and fifth test circles of the field test on roller skis, the time of work on the ski ergometer before reaching the threshold of anaerobic metabolism (TAN), the relative power of work performance at the last stage of the test on the ski ergometer, the level of tension in the response of glycolytic motor units of the right hand in a state of relative rest limit the performance of athletes in sprint races of the ski season.

Keywords: Female cross-country skiers, preparatory period, field testing, laboratory testing, forecasting, sports performance, regression model, Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation rating points, sprint races.
