Objective of the study was to develop proprioceptive training tools for Chinese youth volleyball players and evaluate their effectiveness under experimental conditions.
Methods and structure of the study. Young volleyball players (17-19 years old) from Henan Province and Zhengzhou City (People's Republic of China) took part in the formative pedagogical experiment. During the formative pedagogical experiment, two groups were formed from 36 young volleyball players from Henan Province and Zhengzhou City - control (CG, n=18 people) and experimental (EG, n=18 people) (p>0,05). The content of training of EG players included proprioceptive training tools for the prevention of sports injuries in volleyball players, including the use of physical exercises of strength and coordination orientation, as well as exercises to increase the joint range. Athletes of the control group trained according to the national strategy of the micro-course «Volleyball» for qualified volleyball players of China.
Results and conclusions. The priority task in working with youth volleyball teams in China is to find talented athletes and conduct long-term training in order to achieve high sports results in national teams of various age groups. Solving the problems of sports training can be difficult, since youth team players have a high level of sports injuries to the ankle, knee and hip joints. The use of proprioceptive training helps to strengthen the musculoskeletal system and improve motor skills, which reduces the number of injuries during the playing season.
