Preparation of junior schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities for the performance of the strength test when passing the standards of the VFSK GTO using a training device

Objective of the study was to prove the effectiveness of the training device in the process of physical training of primary school children with mild mental retardation.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was conducted at the State Autonomous Educational Institution of the Amur Region "Special (Correctional) Comprehensive School No. 7 of Blagoveshchensk" in the afternoon during additional physical education classes. Control and experimental groups of 8 people each were formed, in both groups, lessons were held 3 times a week for 40 minutes. The study used methods of pedagogical testing, pedagogical observation, and the method of mathematical statistics.
Results and conclusions. The use of a drum-type training device allows, with minimal violations of the technique of performing movements, to form the motor skill in performing pull-ups both on a high and on a low bar in students with intellectual disabilities. Performing exercises on this device allows developing strength abilities, as evidenced by the results of deadlift and wrist dynamometry at the end of the experiment (p<0,05); relieve tension and fear when performing the VFSK GTO strength test for people with intellectual disabilities.
