Objective of the study was to identify effective means and methods for increasing the level of general physical fitness of young sledge hockey players.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment involved 20 sledge hockey players with musculoskeletal disorders. The experimental group consisted of 10 athletes from the Spartak team, Moscow, and the control group consisted of 10 athletes from the Torpedo team, Nizhny Novgorod. The experimental methodology included special exercises and exercises on the Skier simulator, combined into correction blocks.
Results and conclusions. Positive results of the experimental group in tests for speed and endurance were achieved due to the use of a block of cardio training in the training process using the «Skier» simulator and the inclusion of a block of adaptive games. The increase in strength indicators is explained by the addition of a block of strength-oriented exercises using the «Skier» expander, isotonic ring and rubber bands Mini-bands. Coordination abilities reliably improved due to the inclusion of specially selected sets of correctional and developmental exercises and coordination exercises.
Keywords: musculoskeletal disorders, SpinaBifida, sledge hockey, general physical fitness.
