Objective of the study was to theoretically substantiate the structure and content of the tactical training diary of highly qualified fencers.
Methods and structure of the study. At the first stage, a retrospective analysis of special and scientific-methodical literature of existing sports technologies for mastering tactical skills and abilities in fencing was used. The second stage was devoted to the development of the diary components and the definition of their content. At the third stage, using the method of expert assessments of senior coaches of the Russian national team, the technical and tactical actions of fencers were clarified and adjusted with the subsequent introduction of the diary into the educational, training and competitive processes.
Results and conclusions. The structure and content of the tactical training diary reflects systematic self-analysis of competitive behavior, analysis of technical and tactical actions, strategic plans and psychological portraits of opponents, cause-and-effect relationships of errors, and the dynamics of sports results.
