The educational potential of physical education and sports in the development of prosocial activity of children and youth

The purpose of the study is to identify the opinions of heads of organizations, teachers of physical culture and sports (FKiS) about the potential of this area in the education of children and youth and the development of their prosocial activity.
Methodology and organization of the study. The research methods were the analysis of the results of surveys of managers and teachers of the field of physical culture and sports. As part of the survey, aspects of assessing the potential of the FKiS in the education of children and youth, as well as the professional readiness of the teachers of the FKiS in solving educational tasks were considered. 81 heads of educational organizations in the field of physical culture and sports and 91 teachers of physical culture and sports participated in the study.
The results of the study and conclusions. The results showed that both the leaders of the sphere of physical culture and sports, and teachers in general understand the importance of using the potential of this sphere in the education of children and youth, the development of their prosocial activity, but they cannot always clearly identify ways to solve the problem.
