Factors of impulsive display of negative emotions by basketball players

Objective of the study was to identify factors of stress resistance of basketball players at a sports university in the People's Republic of China.
Methods and structure of the study. 30 basketball players from the national team of Beijing Sports University (China) took part in the scientific work. Diagnostic tools included: R. Cattell's multifactorial personality study method (16PF); sociometry; psychological stress scale PSM-25 L. Lemyre, R. Tessier, L. Fillion; test «Self-expression of athletes in the pre-match mental state: a study of 10 tests» (developed in China); methodology «Studying the attitude of athletes to a specific competition» (Yu.L. Khanin, 1989); questionnaire (indicators of age and experience in sports).
Results and conclusions. A study was conducted of the stress resistance of basketball players at a sports university in the People's Republic of China; it showed that the choice of situational self-regulation by basketball players under stress (the manifestation of negative emotions for relaxation, temporary preservation of confidence, calmness) to the detriment of solving problems of sustainable personal development contributes to a high psychophysiological status and a low level of intellectual development.
