Introduction. An analysis of the works of Russian scientists has shown that sports volunteering is most often understood as "voluntary participation in the organization and conduct of physical education and sports events, as well as the implementation of projects and programs to popularize sports and healthy lifestyle." In the works of G. Glazkov.B., Filimonova S.I., Andryushchenko L.B. M. Pukhovskaya.N. presents sports volunteering in schools, vocational schools, universities, as well as corporate and professional sports volunteering [1, p. 22]. It is important to note a potentially new proposal by a group of scientists (S.N. Myagkova, M.V. Zhiyar, G.S. Titova, N.N. Kachulina) on the need to develop sports volunteering taking into account a special military operation, namely, it will help in organizing classes on the "basics of military training" taking into account applied sports [2, p. 71].
The purpose of the study is to identify potential opportunities, as well as the best practices of sports volunteering in Crimea.
Research results and their discussion. The largest youth volunteer resource in physical culture and sports on the peninsula is owned by V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University and Sevastopol State University. Thus, the sports volunteers of these universities actively participate in various physical education and sports events, as well as in the implementation of projects.
In 2023, in the Republic of Crimea, according to analytical data on the Volunteers of Russia platform (DOBRO.Of the 8,527 volunteers of different orientation, 1,121 volunteers took part in sports events. With their help, 13 projects were implemented and 94 good deeds were organized in the field of sports and physical education.
All Crimean sports events accompanied by volunteers can be divided into sports volunteering and inclusive sports volunteering. The best inclusive sports practices in Crimea were: the festival of inclusive football, the Rehabilitation cultural and Sports Festival "Crimean Autumn 2023", competitions in digital sports in the discipline "darts" among participants with disabilities, the sports festival "Believe in yourself", a sports festival for the disabled, etc.
Volunteer students made a great contribution to the organization and holding of such physical education, sports and mass sports and entertainment events as mriathlon (popularization of triathlon, sports and a healthy lifestyle), Green Marathon, Martial Arts Spartakiad "Crimean Griffin-2023", digital sports festival "Crimea 2023", sports competitions "games. EXTREME Crimea", the All-Russian Olympic Day, the First All-Russian Youth festival of beach sports, etc.
Conclusions. The results of the study showed that the potential of sports volunteering in Crimea depends primarily on the competencies of volunteers. It is important to note that for the development of sports volunteering, the mandatory training of sports volunteers to accompany people with disabilities and people of pre-retirement age, as well as the creation of a regional event calendar, will be a positive moment.
