Objective of the study was to substantiate the rationality of using a general warm-up methodology with a wave nature of the load for students with different levels of physical fitness.
Methods and structure of the study. To determine a rational option for warming up in a group with different levels of physical fitness, pedagogical observation and a pedagogical experiment were carried out. In the experimental group, a warm-up was carried out according to one of the methods and pedagogical observation. Methods with a linear and wave-like character of increasing the load in the running part of the warm-up were used.
Results and conclusions. It was revealed that the magnitude of the load should be aimed at launching the anaerobic energy supply mechanism. From the start of the run-in period, after 10–15 seconds, the load is reduced to prevent the accumulation of oxygen debt.
A consistent increase in load in each “wave” triggers the mechanism of functional changes, in particular, restructuring the state of the body of those exercising without accumulating oxygen debt.
The wave-like nature of the load allows students to comfortably go through the process of working in with less pronounced and timely compensated fatigue. Thus, the wave-like nature of the load ensures optimal further performance of those involved.
Keywords: warm-up methodology, working-in mechanisms, physical activity, wave nature of the load.
