Introduction. The environmental and man-made situation in the world is deteriorating every year and there is a need to develop more modern technical means of anticipating and preventing various disasters. Thus, the formation of scientific and research competence among future specialists of the fire and rescue service becomes relevant.
Research competence is a formed set of knowledge, skills and abilities that contribute to the organization and conduct of research activities in a given algorithm.
The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and develop a pedagogical model for the formation of research competence of cadets of the fire and rescue Academy.
The results of the study and their discussion. Various sources on the subject of the article are analyzed, as well as software and methodological support for disciplines in the field of training cadets of the fire and rescue Academy.
The figure shows the structure and content of the functioning of the pedagogical model of the formation of research competence among cadets.
Conclusion. The developed theoretical content of the pedagogical model for the formation of cadets' research competence is being tested at the fire and rescue Academy and can be recommended to other universities in the country. The results of the study will be presented in the following publications.
