Introduction. Currently, various forms of hiking are gaining popularity in the country. An increasing number of the country's population prefers outdoor recreation in tents; passing various hiking routes through the taiga forest, mountain reliefs, water barriers; overcoming natural difficulties, etc. At the same time, in order to move safely, properly equip places for overnight stays, not to get various injuries, theoretically and physically be ready for various difficulties and obstacles and much more, future tourism instructors need to take a preliminary training program course on the formation of safe behavior in the conditions of a hiking trip [1].
The purpose of the study is to develop and theoretically substantiate a training program course on the formation of safe behavior of the population in the conditions of a hiking trip.
Methodology and organization of the study. On the basis of the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy, within the framework of advanced training in the training of tourism instructors, a 36-hour program was developed, which is aimed at developing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in organizing and ensuring safe behavior of people in nature.
The results of the study and their discussion. The structure and content of the training program are presented in the table.
Conclusion. The work carried out to substantiate and develop a program for preparing the population for safe behavior in the conditions of a tourist hike allows us to recommend it in the practice of teaching educational institutions that have the necessary base and staffing for this.
