Physical training of basketball players in the preparatory period

Introduction. In modern basketball, the effectiveness of competitive activity is directly dependent on the level of speed, strength and coordination readiness, which determine the efficiency, variability, variety of technical and tactical actions, and therefore increasing the level of these indicators is an urgent problem.
The purpose of the study is to substantiate the training program of special physical training for basketball players.
Methodology and organization of the study. Basketball players of ZHBC "ChSU-Atlanta" (Cheboksary) in the amount of 20 people took part in the training program. The initial assessment of speed-strength and coordination readiness and its comparison with the standards of the Federal Standard of Sports training in the sport "Basketball" (2022) revealed a low level of the studied parameters, which negatively affects competitive activity. To solve the identified problem, a training program was developed aimed at the preferential development of special physical qualities, taking into account the individual indicators of athletes. The training process lasted for one month according to the 3 + 1 scheme with two training sessions per day. Cross–country training was carried out in the forest, coordination exercises were performed - long accelerations uphill and downhill. Exercises for the development of strength and speed-strength abilities were performed on the sand. General strength training was conducted in the gym. In the hall, athletes were engaged in game preparation.
The results of the study and their discussion. As a result of the implementation of the developed training program, all subjects have a certain positive dynamics in all test exercises (see the table).
The jumping readiness of basketball players has an average level of manifestation, which in competitive activity will not ensure the effective performance of technical actions "structurally related to the manifestation of jumping ability" [1]. Due to the application of the training program, the speed qualities have improved to average, but in the game athletes are likely to lose to rivals in a quick breakthrough. When analyzing the coordination readiness (3rd jump from / m), the basketball players improved their performance to a high level, which, together with other motor abilities, will allow them to master more complex actions and make the game more effective.
Conclusion. Thus, the applied program of special physical training has a positive effect on the corrected parameters and can be used in the training process of athletes.
