Objective of the study was to identify the specific features of the level of professional training of football coaches in China and offer recommendations for improving its effectiveness.
Methods and structure of the study. In the course of scientific work, a theoretical analysis of information sources on the issues of professional training in the field of Chinese football was carried out. In order to identify the opinions of experts on this issue, an interview was organized in which Chinese football experts (n1=10 people) and coaches (n2=20 people) took part in December 2022. The interviews were conducted using the WeChat messenger.
Results and conclusions. At present, a five-level coach training system in China has been established, corresponding to the characteristics of the development of Chinese football, namely D-C-B-A-PRO. Among them, the D level is specially established by CFA and AFC, taking into account the development of the Chinese Football to School project.
Based on the identified problems in the system of professional training of personnel in football, recommendations are proposed to improve its effectiveness, in particular, to increase the duration of training and the introduction of additional education; systematic assessment of the professional qualities of trainers; development of educational materials in accordance with the demands of sports practice and taking into account the specifics of sports training in China; organization of a single network platform for managing the training of trainers.
