Development of flexibility in aerial yoga practitioners

Objective of the study was to develop flexibility in aerial yoga practitioners using a special sports hammock.
Methods and structure of the study. A pedagogical experiment was conducted, in which 50 girls aged 18-20 took part, doing aerial yoga in the “Elrel” fitness club in Ulyanovsk. Were organized control and experimental groups of 25 people each. In the control group, classes were conducted according to the methodology of developing flexibility in accordance with the program of the “Elrel” fitness club, and in the experimental group - using a special suspended sports hammock.
Results and conclusions. The indicators of flexibility of the students of both studied groups revealed before the pedagogical experiment did not have significant differences (p>0.05). Repeated testing carried out six months later made it possible to identify an improvement in the indicators of flexibility development in the experimental group: in the “Tilt from the pedestal” test, the increase was 48.39%, in the “Tilt to the right (left)” test, the increase was 36.36%, in the “ Tilt of the head to the right (left) "increase - 45.46%, in the test" Bridge "increase - 42.42%, in the test "Longitudinal twine" increase - 39.39%, in the test" Twist of the gymnastic stick "increase - 45, 46% (p<0.05).
