Objective of the study was to determine the dynamics of movement speed and kinematic indicators of simultaneous two-step and simultaneous one-step skating in highly skilled biathletes in the sprint race.
Methods and structure of the study. Scientific work was carried out on the basis of the regional winter sports center "Pearl of Siberia" during the Russian Biathlon Championship. The study presents the data of the top 10 athletes during the sprint race. Video filming is organized on two slopes of different steepness 5°and 11°.
The received video files were processed using the Dartfish computer program.
Results and conclusions. As the study showed, an increase in the speed of movement at the finish lap in a sprint race is provided by an increase in the speed of movement in the second half of the final lap of the distance. Maintaining the speed of movement is ensured by increasing the frequency of movements while shortening the length of the cycle of movements. At the same time, during the passage of a sprint race on slopes of various steepness, a redistribution of kinematic indicators occurs in the cycle of movements.
