Objective of the study was to experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of using a computer-diagnostic training complex with biofeedback for the formation of technical skills in rowing and improving the methodology for technical training of young academic rowers.
Methods and structure of the study. In scientific work, a computer-diagnostic training complex for rowing in the pool was used, which included a BRIS rowing machine equipped with a measuring system, special software for processing information based on a computer, a speaker and a monitor for sound or visual (color or point) evaluation rowing techniques in real time.
11 biomechanical indicators of academic rowing were studied: stroke length by oar handle movement, ratio of stroke length to height, average effort on the oar handles, ratio of average effort on the handles to the weight of the rower, average rowing power, ratio "t" of achieving an effort level of 70% of max to "t" of the stroke, the ratio "t" of holding the effort of the level of 70% of the max to the "t" of the stroke, the maximum effort on the handles of the oars, the ratio of the average effort on the handles of the oars to the maximum, the position of the point of reaching the maximum effort in fractions of the length of the stroke, rhythm rowing.
The study involved 24 young athletes (age - 15.7±0.3 years; body length - 185±6 cm, body weight - 75.4±8.9 kg, training experience - 1.3±0.1 years), of which the experimental and control groups of 12 people each were completed, approximately equal in terms of sports and technical skills.
The experimental method of technical training of young rowers included complexes of special technical exercises, control and evaluation of the technique of performing special technical exercises directly in the process of their implementation.
Results and conclusions. The high efficiency of using a computer-diagnostic training complex equipped with an audiovisual feedback system for the formation of technical skills in rowing and improving the technique of technical training of young academic rowers has been proven.
