Abstract
Objective of the study was to develop and test benefits of a special training toolkit for the tactical basics training in beginner football.
Methods and structure of the study. We developed a theoretical and practical training model with special tactical tools and competitive game elements geared to train dexterity, flexibility, movement coordination, speed and tactical thinking in the players including 2x1, 2x2, 3x2, 3x3 and 1x1 match formats plus special exercises and drawbacks-correcting practices; plus 3x3 no-goalkeeper and 4x4 with-goalkeeper matches. The model was tested on a sample of beginner football players (n=16).
Results and conclusion. The special tactics training model for beginner footballers was tested beneficial as verified by a statistically significant progress of 23.3% of the sample. Practical tests found a 9-second progress in the decision-making skills with the errors tested to fall 2.2 times. We recommend the beginner football training systems being complemented by these special tools reasonably customizable for the age-specific physiological and psychophysical qualities, with a special emphasis on the competitive gaming elements in every practice.
