Prospects for the development of yachting as a factor of attractiveness of the region

Objective of the study was to substantiate the prospects for the development of yachting as a factor in the attractiveness of the region (on the example of the Krasnodar Territory).
Methods and structure of the study. The survey involved residents of the Krasnodar Territory and neighboring territories aged 18 to 60 years (441 people). The online questionnaire included 13 questions related to the personal characteristics of the respondents, the desire to participate in yachting, preferences (the duration of yachting, the inclusion of an excursion program, the desired objects of visit, the attractiveness of the Krasnodar Territory for the development of yachting, the dominant factors of choice, the possibility of participating in yachting, etc.).
Results and conclusions. The study made it possible to identify segments of yachting consumers who: consider yachting as a promising and real type of physical recreation on the Azov-Black Sea coast; prefer inexpensive types of yachting; guided by the following selection criteria: price, quality of service, rich program, popularity of the destination, as well as the type of yacht, a good company; prefer collective types of outdoor activities.
The information obtained is a certain contribution to the promotion of the territory of the Krasnodar Territory in the context of innovative development and promising entry into the international system of yachting and tourism.
