The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of basketball players' training in the school and university sports system in China, depending on the indicators of sports injuries.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study was conducted on the basis of colleges and universities of Qiqihara City District (Heilongjiang Province, China). The age of the students ranged from 16 to 22 years, most of them had more than two years of basketball training experience. The main method of the study was a sociological survey (questionnaire), the questions of which were aimed at studying the opinions of 175 students regarding the influence of a high level of knee injuries on the features of the construction of the training process of basketball players of universities in China.
The results of the study and their discussion. The study found that most students get knee injuries during training when throwing and fighting for the ball near the ring. The survey shows that during the game, most students get knee injuries due to insufficient preparation, which is 35% of the total. Secondly, 20% of the students' knee joints were damaged due to sharp turns, stops, jumps during training. This trend indicates the need to pay closer attention to the process of improving technical and tactical actions in the attack and defense phase, which, on the one hand, are caused by a large number of shots made during the game by basketball players of various roles, and on the other hand, by the aggressiveness of single combats for bouncing the ball near their own and someone else's ring. The data obtained indicate that the process of training basketball students should include such exercises that are associated with a sharp stop and a large number of jumps. The adaptation of the musculoskeletal system to such actions can contribute to the maximum involvement of the athlete in the training process, due to the absence of sports injuries.
Conclusions. The main factor in reducing the effectiveness of the training process of Chinese basketball students is the high rates of sports injuries of the knee joint associated with insufficient fitness and sudden changes in condition during the exercise. In this regard, long-term training requires students to be properly trained in order to adapt the knee joint to training and competitive loads.
