Objective of the study was to provide theoretical grounds for and experimentally test benefits of a shooting excellence model for elite biathletes sensitive to their individual postural control predispositions.
Methods and structure of the study. We sampled for the new shooting excellence model testing experiment (run in the 2019-20 competitive season) the 18-20 year-old elite biathletes Masters of Sports (n=34); and split them up into Experimental and Control Groups of 17 people each from the Tyumen and Perm Oblasts, respectively. The Experimental Group training was complemented by the dynamic and static equilibrium training exercises sensitive to the individual postural control predispositions.
Results and conclusion. The shooting excellence model testing experiment found significant progress of the Experimental Group versus Control Group as verified by the growth in the movement coordination and shooting accuracy test rates and practical competitive successes by 15.5%, 5.2% and 11.5%, respectively.
