Objective of the study was to theoretically and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of sports training methods for beginner hearing-impaired billiard players.
Methods and structure of the study. The educational experiment was carried out at sport school of Olympic Reserve «Spectrum» (Kazan) and involved 28 billiard players with hearing impairments aged 9-11 years (Control Group - 14 people, Experimental Group - 14 people). We developed a training methodology for the hearing-impaired billiard players, which includes: increasing the number of hours of theoretical training; adapting the software material to the specifics of the analyzers of this category of athletes; using a system of creative gestures, determining the system of the main billiard strokes; using a number of developed technical means and a greater amount of remedial means; using mental training means, etc.
Results and conclusions. The effectiveness of the developed training methodology was confirmed by higher positive dynamics in all the studied indicators in Experimental Group compared to Control Group. The experimental data clearly show the usefulness of the proposed tools and methodological approaches in training hearing-impaired athletes.
