Objective of the study was to determine the impact of hyperoxia on carbohydrate rebalancing in athletes working in the anaerobic glycolytic mode.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment involved the 16-17 year-old swimmers (n=30) having the sports qualifications of the 1st senior degree and Candidate Masters of Sport. The athletes breathed 93±3% hyperoxic gas mixture for 10 minutes immediately after training in the anaerobic glycolytic mode.
Results and conclusions. The study found that breathing with the hyperoxic gas mixture for 10 minutes after exercising in the anaerobic glycolytic mode contributes to carbohydrate rebalancing.
Normobaric hyperoxia was found to be the most effective in application to athletes with adrenergic regulation, which allows a differentiated approach to the selection of extracurricular recovery means in sports.

Keywords: gas mixture with higher concentration of oxygen, lactate, glucose, physical load.
