Introduction. Based on the literature data and a survey of experts in the field of training young sprinters, it is known that the most significant contribution to the result in sprint running is made by such physical qualities as speed and strength.
The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate the methodology for developing the physical qualities of sprinters at the stage of initial specialization.
Methodology and results of the study. To develop the dominant physical qualities in sprint running – speed and strength, special sets of exercises were developed, consisting of means, the effectiveness of which has already been proven by many scientists in the field of sports training. For the development of endurance, flexibility and coordination, we used general recommendations on the use of tools and methods for the development of these abilities.
Each individual complex for the development of basic physical qualities forms a series of consecutive exercises.
For the development of speed and speed abilities, we used three main sets of exercises. The first set includes the following exercises: "Running on the spot"; "Hand work, as in running on the spot"; "Jumping over the line"; "Hand work, as in running on the spot"; "Raznozhka;" Hand work, as in running on the spot"; "Running on the spot"; "Running on the move". The second set consisted of the following exercises: "Running from different starting positions"; "Running out of the semi-low start position"; "Running out of the low start position" and "Running from the start". The third complex includes " Running in the emphasis»; "Running in a stop with a run-out" and "Running on the move".
Based on the specifics of the development of speed abilities, each exercise athletes had to perform at maximum intensity, followed by a regulated rest and the next exercise the athlete must perform after full recovery. To determine the rate and completeness of recovery reactions, heart rate measurements were performed by the palpatory method. At the same time, the heart rate did not exceed the value of 110-120 beats / min.
Conclusion. The analysis of the results of the study allows us to speak about the effectiveness of the methodology developed by us for the development of physical qualities of young sprinters at the stage of initial specialization.
