Objective of the study was to analyze the functional state of the cardiovascular and cardio-regulatory systems to detect early signs of myocardial overtension in the 18-20 year-old football players.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out on the basis of the Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture and Healthy Lifestyle of Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute named after M.E. Evsevyev. Sampled for the study were 24 football players aged 18-20 years with 10-13 years of experience. The athletes were trained on the basis of the Non-Profit Partnership "Mordovia" Inter-Regional Training Centre for Young Football Players of the Volga region.
Traditional (index method) and innovative ("Cardiovisor" technology) methods of diagnostics of the state of the cardiovascular and cardio-regulatory systems were used to assess the nature of the vegetative regulation of the functioning of the cardiovascular system, its tension level, and the state of the cardiac muscle to detect early signs of myocardial overtension in the 18-20 year-old football players.
Results and conclusions. The study found that one third of the examined athletes suffered from overtension of the cardio-regulatory mechanisms; more than half of the athletes had cardiac abnormalities; 16.7% of the football players urgently needed a full examination of their cardiovascular system; 75% of the athletes needed dynamic monitoring of the functional state of their cardiac muscle and cardiac rhythm. This indicates a mismatch between the workload and functional capabilities of the body of a number of athletes. It is recommended to make adjustments to the process of training of such football players and to approach its design solely through the lens of individualization.
