Sports management in corporate social program implementation

Objective of the study was to determine the role of sports management in the implementation of corporate social programs.
Methods and structure of the study. The article presents the results of the document analysis, comparative data analysis, and secondary processing of the empirical data in terms of implementation of corporate social programs at 6 industrial enterprises of the Urals.
Results of the study and conclusions. The development of sports under corporate social programs have good prospects for teambuilding, formation of a common corporate culture, prevention of diseases and breaking of harmful habits, as well as improvement of the health of employees and society as a whole. As a new socio-economic phenomenon, corporate sports should be studied not only in practical but also in theoretical terms. At present, sports under corporate social programs are generally implemented for different categories of personnel. The phenomenon is most evident in youth programs implemented within different companies. The sports management functions can be carried out by the PR division, social affairs department, trade committee, a development director, and a sports manager. This depends on the size and capabilities of the company, including its financial capabilities, availability of professionally trained employees, and their sports management skills. Proceeding from the research findings, proposals for improving the sports management process were developed for the top management, including approaches to sports management under corporate sports programs implemented at the industrial enterprises of the Urals.
