Objective of the study was to build and analyze the body mass center trajectories in combat athletes when performing a hip roll as a counter-action during a bout.
Methods and structure of the study. We analyzed a video recording taken from the video hosting platform YouTube. The studied part of the video recording was split into frames. For each frame, we located the coordinates of the body mass centers in the athletes and the system of two athletes as a whole.
Results of the study. The study found a correlation between each frame and the trajectories determined. It was suggested that the similarity between the body mass center travel trajectories in the system of two athletes and the trajectory in the attacked athlete (Uke) is due to the technical and tactical errors.
Conclusion. The authors recommend that in the process of training of combat athletes, counterattacking actions should be included both in the absence of resistance and with semi-resistance of an opponent. It also makes sense to include technical actions after preliminary twisting. In this case, twisting Uke would serve as a preparatory action for the subsequent takedown action.
