The modern Russian Physical Culture and Sports "Ready for Labour and Defense" (GTO) complex is a full-fledged program of physical training for the population of the country meant to develop mass sports, physical culture, promote the  national health and stimulate the interest in preschoolers in developing physical qualities
Objective of the study was to rate the 6-8 year-old preschoolers’ physical fitness for the obligatory GTO Complex Class I tests.
Subject to the educational process experiment were 6-7 years old children (n=407 including 220 girls) registered and qualified for the Russian Physical Culture and Sports GTO Complex Class I tests via the оnline automated support of the Physical Culture and Sports GTO testing technology. The physical fitness of the subjects was rated by the actual obligatory GTO Complex Class I tests. The tests showed the 6-7 year-old Surgut city residents being poorly physically fit for the Russian Physical Culture and Sports GTO Complex Class I tests, with particularly low strength and coordination abilities of the overall physical fitness.
