Research Objective:The study aims to summarize and substantiate the theoretical and scientific aspects of program-normative support for the training of a student football team.

Methods and Research Organization:The study was conducted from October 2023 to June 2024 with the student football team of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "State University of Education". A formative pedagogical experiment was carried out to theoretically and scientifically justify the effectiveness of the developed extracurricular football training program, incorporating optimized program-normative documentation.

Results and Discussion:The need to substantiate the program-normative support for the training of the university’s student football team is primarily due to:

A significant volume of theoretical, methodological, and control materials that could be reduced by 15–25%, allowing reallocated time for intensive physical activity.

An imbalance in extracurricular time allocation (1:5 ratio) between physical and other forms of training.

Substantial losses (20–25%) of useful training time due to pauses, error corrections, lineup changes, etc., leading to passive participation by 30–40% of students.

The use of simplistic, monotonous training methods that focus on isolated muscle groups rather than comprehensive skill development.

Optimizing the program-normative framework improved students' physical fitness parameters by 16.7%. The balanced structure of the training program ensured an equitable distribution of specific and non-specific loads, with aerobic and mixed-intensity exercises at a 55:45 ratio.

Conclusions:The implementation of program-normative support in university football training enhances the quality of the training process through a structured algorithm. This includes key components—from assessing students' physical fitness levels to final competitive performance—ensuring better preparedness.
