Objective of the study was to analysis of the influence of ideomotor exercises in the structure of the training process of highly qualified freestyle wrestlers on the results of their competitive activities.
Methods and structure of the study. Analysis and generalization of literary sources, pedagogical experiment, psychophysiological testing, mathematical statistics. The study was conducted in the comprehensive school of high sports skills of St. Petersburg. Wrestlers aged 16-29 took part in the study. The group consisted of 34 freestyle wrestlers of various levels of training. The wrestlers were divided into two groups. The first group included highly qualified athletes, candidates and masters of sports (16 people), the second - wrestlers of the II and III categories (18 people). At the second and third stages, qualified wrestlers were divided into two groups - control and experimental. Psychophysiological properties were studied using tests. The work is based on the test control technique based on the tapping test (E.P. Ilyin, 1983), reflexometry, and tremometry.
Results and conclusions. As a result of using the experimental method: a) the wrestlers in the experimental group showed a significant improvement in two of the three psychophysiological properties studied; b) the study established a connection between psychophysiological properties and the degree of psychological and physical stress during training; c) a method for correcting the psychophysiological properties of athletes was developed.
