Assessment of physical development of children from the Donetsk People's Republic in comparison with children from other regions based on anthropometric and functional indicators

Objective of the study was to description of anthropometric and functional indicators of the child population of the DPR in comparison with other Russian regions.
Methods and structure of the study. The research was carried out in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Kaliningrad and Kemerovo regions. A comparative analysis of anthropometric indicators (body length, body weight, body mass index, chest circumference) and functional parameters of the cardiovascular system (blood pressure, heart rate) was conducted. Particular attention was paid to the characteristics of children from the DPR in comparison with other regions. Research results and conclusions. The study was approved by the LEC, fully complied with the rules of medical ethics and the principles of the Helsinki Declaration of the World Medical Association. Statistical analysis of the data was carried out using the Statistica 13.0 software package.
Results and conclusions. Regional features of physical development were revealed. The work noted that the child population of the DPR aged 6-10 years is characterized by normal anthropometric and functional indicators comparable to those obtained for other regions of the Russian Federation.
