Objective of the study was to identify age-related features of the hemodynamic state of athletes with disabilities involved in para-equestrian sports.
Methods and structure of the study. The stage survey involved 59 athletes with various diagnoses (in sports - PODA and LIN), involved in para-equestrian sports in the ESC "Novopolye", participating in regional and all-Russian competitions. The research methods included anthropometry, as well as hemodynamic monitoring using a portable monitor "MARG 10-01" (Microlux, Chelyabinsk) in an active orthotest. The following hemodynamic parameters in two stationary positions of athletes (lying and standing) were subjected to statistical analysis in the age aspect: heart rate (HR, bpm), end-diastolic volume (EDV, ml), and relative indicators proportional to the body surface area (S, m2), respectively, the end-diastolic index (EDI, ml/m2).
Results and conclusions. Age trends in the dynamics of HR, EDV and EDI of athletes with disabilities in the period from 9 to 25 years, the impact of para-equestrian sports in individuals with disabilities on the heart condition were established. In young para-equestrians, the HR is higher than the recommended norm for athletes, which is associated with insufficient physical activity in the training process and, as a consequence, a low level of overall endurance, while the EDI of lying in the group of equestrians increases from 9 to 16 years, which qualitatively corresponds to the natural dynamics of EDI of lying in athletes.
