Objective of the study was to analysis of changes in the kinematics of ski jumping and determination of current indicators of model angular characteristics.
Methods and structure of the study. A comparative analysis of changes in the kinematic indicators of ski jumping technique of the world's strongest ski jumpers and Nordic combined skiers was carried out on the basis of video recordings made between 2013 and 2021 and the systematization of foreign analytical publications by leading experts in the field of biomechanics of ski jumping and Nordic combined skiing.
Results and conclusions. It has been determined that the most significant changes in ski jumping technique are achieving high forward activity by the end of the contact take-off, quickly achieving an aerodynamically advantageous position with a relatively large tilt of the body, legs and skis relative to the horizon line, and a smaller value of the resulting aerodynamic coefficient, as well as adopting a horizontal position of the body and skis in the main part of the flight with a slight decrease in the tilt of the legs and an increase in the «legs-skis» angle. The refined indicators of the model characteristics are recommended for use in the preparation of athletes starting from the training stage.
