Objective of the study was to identify the main forms and directions of network interaction between Russian sports universities in the area of ​​developing international activities.
Methods and structure of the study. An analysis of the main parameters of international educational and scientific activities of Russian universities of physical education and sports was conducted.
Results and conclusions. At present, the development of international activities of Russian sports universities is characterized by new trends that reflect the specifics of the modern educational and scientific space. These include the implementation of network educational programs as a tool for building a unified educational trajectory of partner universities, internationalization of scientific activities, the formation of an intra-university socio-cultural environment, etc. Taken together, the designated areas lead to an increase in the educational and scientific status of Russian sports universities and their international competitiveness.
