Methods and structure of the study. To achieve this goal, the authors selected the following databases: Elibrary - a Russian scientific electronic library integrated with the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), as the most popular scientific electronic library in the Russian Federation, and Sciencedirect - an extensive foreign world database of peer-reviewed full-text scientific literature. The search term was volleyball. The authors did not narrow the search in order to maximize the quantitative coverage of publications in the specified area.
